Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Geologist for our client in Port Elizabeth. The role blends on-site and remote work, focusing on building detailed reservoir models and integrating core, petrophysical and seismic data.

You will collaborate with engineers and geophysicists to predict performance and guide field development, while mentoring junior team members and staying current with geological technologies.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Geology or related geoscience; PhD is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years as Reservoir Geologist in upstream oil and gas.
• Experience building and validating 3D reservoir models with Petrel, Roxar RMS and GeoGraphix.
• Strong in core analysis, petrophysics, well logs and seismic interpretation.
• Sedimentology, stratigraphy and structural geology relevant to reservoir characterization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and data integration skills; good communication.

Aufgaben

• Develop and refine detailed 3D geological models of reservoirs using diverse data.
• Perform sedimentological and sequence stratigraphic analyses to understand heterogeneity.
• Interpret core data, logs and seismic attributes to define properties and boundaries.
• Conduct petrophysical evaluations to determine reservoir quality and fluids.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to predict performance and support dynamic models.
• Identify exploration targets and development opportunities via geological studies.
• Prepare geological reports, presentations and management recommendations.
• Contribute to planning and execution of well programs with geological oversight.
• Mentor junior geologists and share geological expertise.
