Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geoscientist to lead subsurface integration in Port Elizabeth. You will integrate geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data to build robust subsurface models guiding exploration and development decisions.

The role requires 8+ years in subsurface integration, proficiency with Petrel and DecisionSpace, and strong seismic interpretation, mapping, and risk assessment skills. A hybrid work arrangement is offered to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related geoscience field.
• 8+ years of subsurface integration experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with integrated subsurface modeling software (Petrel, DecisionSpace).
• Strong seismic interpretation, mapping, and reservoir characterization skills.
• Experience in uncertainty analysis and risk assessment for subsurface data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of geological, geophysical, and reservoir data to create subsurface models.
• Develop and refine static geological models, incorporating uncertainties.
• Use seismic interpretation, well logs, and core data for interpretation.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to align geological models with dynamic modeling.
• Perform quality control on geological and geophysical data and interpretations.
• Contribute to technical evaluation of exploration and development opportunities.
