Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our client in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role emphasizes reservoir characterization, simulation, production forecasting, and EOR opportunities within a collaborative team.

You will work on multidisciplinary projects with a mix of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility, contributing to critical development plans and technical reports.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within oil and gas.
• Proficiency in Eclipse/INTERSECT/PETREL RE or similar software.
• Strong understanding of reservoir fluids, rock mechanics and wellbore hydraulics.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies using geological, geophysical, and engineering data.
• Develop and maintain advanced reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and evaluate development strategies.
• Perform production forecasting and economic evaluations for field development scenarios.
• Identify and propose opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved reservoir management.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling and production engineers to optimize field development plans.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on latest reservoir engineering technologies and best practices.
