Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for our international energy client in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and development of optimal depletion strategies to maximize asset value.

The successful candidate will lead cross-disciplinary teams, apply advanced simulation tools (ECLIPSE, Tempest, Petrel RE), and integrate geological, petrophysical, and production data to guide investment decisions and sustainable production.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience in reservoir engineering with exploration and development background.
• Experience with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, Tempest, Petrel RE).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reservoir characterization using geological, petrophysical, and engineering data.
• Develop and maintain dynamic reservoir simulation models to predict performance and test development scenarios.
• Optimize production strategies including well placement and EOR methods.
