Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting Oil & Gas operations from anywhere in South Africa. The role focuses on maximizing hydrocarbon recovery through advanced analysis and modeling, with collaboration across global teams.

The candidate will manage dynamic reservoir models, perform decline curve analyses and economic evaluations, and explore EOR opportunities while delivering reports and technical presentations for management.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
7+ years of reservoir engineering experience in oil & gas.
Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (Petrel, ECLIPSE, CMG).
Strong knowledge of reservoir geology, petrophysics, and fluid properties.
Proven ability to manage remote projects.

Responsibilities

Conduct reservoir characterization and performance analysis using geological and engineering data.
Develop and manage dynamic reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and optimize production strategies.
Perform material balance calculations, decline curve analysis, and economic evaluations for reservoir assets.
Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and implement appropriate techniques.
Prepare technical reports, reserve estimates, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and others in a virtual setting.
