Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for our client in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. You will optimize hydrocarbon recovery, develop development plans, and guide multidisciplinary teams across mature and developing fields.

The role requires a strong background in reservoir simulation, EOR, and economic evaluation, with at least 8 years of experience and SA work authorization. A Master’s degree is preferred and a competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or a related field.
• Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Characterize reservoirs using geological and geophysical data and develop reservoir models.
• Build and manage reservoir simulation models to forecast performance under various production scenarios.
• Design and implement Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Prepare reports on reserves estimation, performance, and economic evaluations.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, production and drilling engineers to align strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
