Placements24 seeks a seasoned Remote Solar Project Developer to identify, evaluate, and secure sites for solar energy development. You will manage the early-stage development, coordinate with internal teams, and drive PPA negotiations with landowners and off-takers from anywhere in the country.

The role requires 5+ years in renewable energy project development, strong financial modeling, and deep knowledge of solar technology and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years in renewable energy project development with focus on solar PV.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate sites for utility-scale and distributed solar projects.
• Negotiate land leases, PPAs, and other agreements with landowners and off-takers.
• Develop financial models and business cases for internal approvals and financing.
• Coordinate with engineering, legal, and finance teams throughout development.
• Roam with regulators and utilities to ensure permitting and compliance.
• Track milestones and manage risks across multiple projects remotely.
