Placements24 is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Project Developer for a fully remote position. You will identify, evaluate, and secure solar and wind opportunities, lead feasibility studies, and manage PPAs, land leases, and interconnections.

The role requires 8+ years in renewables and deep SA market knowledge, with strong negotiation and financial modeling skills. Remote, globally distributed team collaboration is essential, with the opportunity to drive major growth in clean energy projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in renewable energy project development, especially solar/wind.
• Strong knowledge of SA energy market, policy frameworks, and interconnection processes.
• Excellent negotiation and financial modeling skills.

Responsabilités

• Identify, assess, and secure opportunities for new renewable energy projects (solar, wind).
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, including site assessments and grid connection studies.
• Develop and manage project budgets and financial models.
• Negotiate and secure PPAs, land leases, and interconnection agreements.
• Manage permitting and regulatory approvals for projects.
• Build relationships with landowners, communities, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and finance teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Stay updated on market trends, policy changes, and competition in renewables.
• Prepare detailed project proposals and presentations for approvals.
