Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead end-to-end development and execution of solar, wind and other projects. The role is primarily remote with occasional site visits, overseeing feasibility, EPC coordination, and handover to operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in renewables project management, strong stakeholder engagement, knowledge of project finance, and PMP or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in renewable energy
• Experience delivering solar, wind, or hydro projects from conception to handover
• Strong knowledge of project finance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, including within the North West province

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project management of renewable energy projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for installations
• Manage relationships with landowners, communities, government agencies, and technology suppliers
• Coordinate with EPC contractors to ensure seamless project execution
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and safety standards
• Manage project budgets and expenditures to meet financial objectives
• Facilitate project documentation, reporting, and communication to all stakeholders
• Contribute to development of innovative solutions and best practices in project management
• Lead project teams to foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment
