About the Role

Our client, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Remote Renewable Energy Project Manager to join their forward-thinking team. This role is crucial for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and permitting to construction oversight and commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in renewable energy project management and excellent remote collaboration skills. This is a fully remote position offering significant flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage them effectively.
• Oversee site assessment, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Manage relationships with clients, engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
• Monitor project progress, provide regular status reports, and manage stakeholder communications.
• Optimize project performance for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Foster a collaborative and productive remote working environment among project teams.
• Stay informed about new technologies, market trends, and best practices in the renewable energy sector.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Experience working effectively in a remote team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, permitting processes, and grid interconnection.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
