Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in process engineering within chemical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transfer principles.
• Experience with process safety management (PSM) and HAZOP studies is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct process simulations and modeling using industry-standard software to predict performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize yield.
• Develop and maintain Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and project management, to ensure successful project execution and scale-up.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and operational guidelines for plant personnel.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the engineering department.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in chemical engineering and process design.
