Job summary
Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Optimization Engineer for a fully remote role overseeing optimization of chemical processes across global operations. You will focus on yield, energy efficiency and waste reduction using advanced analytics and modeling.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years in process engineering, experience with Aspen Plus/HYSYS and APC, and a strong background in chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
- Experience with process simulation software and APC implementations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing chemical processes to boost yield, reduce energy use and waste.
- Develop and apply advanced process control strategies and modeling.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations and maintenance to resolve issues.
- Design pilot plant studies and scale-up initiatives for new/modified processes.
- Maintain process documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, procedures).
- Monitor KPIs and report on performance and progress.
- Stay updated on latest tech and uphold safety and environmental compliance.
