Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Senior Process Engineer to lead analysis, design, and optimization of chemical processes from a remote setting. You will develop new processes, optimize scale-up, and ensure safety through PHAs and P&IDs, collaborating with R&D, operations, and project teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 8+ years in process engineering, proficient in Aspen Plus/HYSYS, and skilled in data analysis and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within chemical manufacturing or petrochemical industry.
• Proven track record in process design, optimization and scale-up of complex chemical processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing chemical processes to identify opportunities for improvement in yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes and optimize existing ones using process simulation software and data analysis.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with stringent safety standards.
• Develop P&IDs, equipment specifications, and process control strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and project management, to ensure successful process implementation and scale-up.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues in a remote capacity, providing expert guidance.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering technology and best practices.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, feasibility studies, and project proposals.
