Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Event Planner & Coordinator for a remote-first role based in South Africa. The candidate will manage end-to-end planning for virtual and hybrid events, coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver engaging experiences across time zones.

With 5+ years in event planning, you will master virtual platforms like Zoom, Hopin, and Bizzabo, ensuring budgets, timelines, and objectives are met while driving attendee engagement and post-event analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning and management, with virtual and hybrid focus.
• Proficiency with Zoom, Hopin, Bizzabo and related event software.
• Excellent project management, organizational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute virtual conferences, webinars, product launches, and corporate events.
• Manage venue selection for hybrid components, vendor relations, speaker coordination, and attendee registration.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to keep events on time and within scope.
• Master virtual event platforms and technologies to enhance attendee engagement.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to define event objectives.
• Conduct post-event analysis, collect feedback, and deliver reports on success metrics.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans for events.
• Stay updated on industry trends in event technology.
• Oversee virtual event production, including checks, run-of-show, and live troubleshooting.
• Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers for high-quality service.
