Job summary

Responsibilities include venue and vendor management, budgeting, leading on-site teams and contractors, risk mitigation, and post-event evaluation. You will collaborate with clients to ensure compliant, seamless operations from conception to completion, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in event management, hospitality, or related field.
• Experience managing large-scale events in tourism or hospitality.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficient with event management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for planning phases or on-site support.
• Relevant tertiary qualification desirable.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational plans for all events.
• Oversee event lifecycle: venue, vendors, staffing, catering, AV.
• Manage budgets and provide financial reports.
• Lead on-site teams and contractors.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and improvements.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Contribute to new event concepts and services.
