Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Cloud Security Engineer to join their security team, remotely supporting operations connected to Nelspruit. You will design, implement, and manage security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP while promoting secure IaC practices.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in cloud security, hands-on experience with containers, DevSecOps, and a passion for building resilient cloud platforms, with a fully remote role offering flexible hours and a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles, architecture, and best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and security automation.
• Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and automate security solutions for cloud infrastructure, including IaC security.
• Conduct security assessments and penetration tests of cloud deployments.
• Implement and manage cloud-native security services and third-party security tools.
• Develop and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Respond to security incidents within the cloud environment and perform forensic analysis.
