Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Chemical Engineer specializing in specialty chemicals. The role involves designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex chemical processes from a fully remote setup.

You will lead development from concept to commercialization, validate designs with simulations and pilot trials, and ensure safety and quality standards across projects. The ideal candidate holds a Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 8+ years in chemical process

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in chemical process engineering, focusing on specialty or fine chemicals manufacturing.
Proven expertise in process design, scale-up, and optimization for complex chemical syntheses.
Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
Strong understanding of reaction engineering, separation techniques, and material science.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of processes for novel specialty chemicals, from concept to commercialization.
Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct detailed process simulations and pilot plant trials to validate new designs and modifications.
Provide expert technical support for troubleshooting production issues and quality deviations.
Ensure all process designs and operations comply with stringent safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Collaborate virtually with R&D, production, and commercial teams to achieve project objectives.
