Placements24 is seeking a Senior Real Estate Asset Manager to lead a large property portfolio from Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will develop asset strategies, optimize returns, and align investments with the firm’s long-term goals in the SA market.

The role requires deep knowledge of financial modeling, leasing, capital budgeting, and market analysis, plus strong leadership and stakeholder management. A hybrid work model offers flexibility while delivering impact on investment performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in real estate asset management, investment, or related field, with strong portfolio focus.
• Experience within the South African property market is essential.
• Proven track record of improving performance across diverse real estate portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize property value and returns across the portfolio.
• Oversee financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, rent collection, expense management, capex planning.
• Conduct property tours and site inspections to monitor condition, operations and market positioning.
• Manage property operations: leasing, tenant relations, maintenance, in coordination with property managers.
• Analyze market conditions and trends to identify value opportunities and risk mitigation.
• Prepare asset performance reports, investment committee presentations, and strategic recommendations.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers including property managers, leasing agents, brokers, and legal counsel.
• Evaluate and execute capital improvement projects to enhance asset value and tenant appeal.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and investment covenants.
• Contribute to the firms investment strategy and risk management framework.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
