About the Role

Our client, a highly reputable investment firm with a significant track record in commercial and residential property, is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Real Estate Investment Manager to lead investment initiatives and manage a substantial portfolio. This role is a fully remote position, offering the ultimate flexibility to manage key relationships and strategic planning from any location. You will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and closing new investment opportunities, as well as overseeing the asset management of existing holdings to maximize returns. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the South African real estate market, particularly in dynamic regions like the Western Cape, with a proven ability to drive value and achieve ambitious investment targets. This is a leadership role offering the chance to shape investment strategy and contribute to the continued success of a respected player in the real estate investment landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the firm's real estate investment strategy.
• Source, underwrite, and negotiate new investment opportunities across various property types.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, financial modeling, and risk assessment for potential acquisitions.
• Manage a portfolio of real estate assets, overseeing asset management strategies to enhance value and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and institutional partners.
• Prepare detailed investment proposals and presentations for the investment committee and senior management.
• Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and competitor activities to identify strategic advantages.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, or asset management, with a strong focus on strategic deal-making.
• Demonstrated success in originating, structuring, and closing complex real estate transactions.
• Deep knowledge of real estate markets, investment principles, valuation techniques, and financial modeling.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of assets and drive significant value creation.
• Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
• Experience managing and mentoring teams.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote capacity.
