Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Production Technologist for our Centurion, Gauteng operations. The role focuses on optimizing hydrocarbon production from wells and fields using advanced technologies to boost recovery and efficiency.

You will collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and operations staff to implement effective production solutions. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in oil and gas production operations, strong knowledge of artificial lift and production optimization,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on oil and gas production experience.
• Strong expertise in artificial lift and production optimization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for performance enhancement.
• Design and implement artificial lift systems to optimize well performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues including wellbore problems and equipment failures.
• Develop and execute strategies for well stimulation and intervention programs.
• Monitor and manage production facilities and surface equipment.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule workovers and interventions.
• Evaluate new production technologies and equipment for implementation.
• Prepare technical reports, production forecasts, and economic evaluations.
