Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Production Engineer to support upstream operations in the Centurion area. This role focuses on optimizing daily production, ensuring integrity of facilities, and troubleshooting operational issues to maximize output and minimize downtime.

You will collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and field teams to meet production targets. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in production engineering within upstream oil and gas, strong knowledge of

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production Engineering role within upstream oil and gas.
Strong knowledge of production operations, artificial lift methods, and well test analysis.
Experience with production facility design, operation, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily production performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for optimization.
Troubleshoot production-related problems, including equipment failures, wellbore issues, and process inefficiencies.
Implement artificial lift systems and water/gas injection strategies to enhance recovery.
Oversee the maintenance and integrity of production facilities, pipelines, and processing equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations related to production operations.
Prepare production forecasts, operational reports, and cost analyses for management.
