Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Production Engineer to optimize production from wells and facilities near Soweto, Gauteng. The role is field-based, focused on maximizing hydrocarbon recovery while ensuring safe operations.

You will work with field crews, troubleshoot production issues, and implement interventions and equipment upgrades in collaboration with drilling and reservoir engineers. A practical mindset and strong safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production engineering or field operations in Oil & Gas.
• Strong understanding of production systems and artificial lift methods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot production problems including artificial lift and flow issues.
• Develop recommendations for well interventions and facility enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with drilling and reservoir engineers on well completions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Promote safety culture and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist in development and management of production budgets.
• Provide technical guidance to field operations personnel.
