Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Flow Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes at the Kimberley, Northern Cape site. This on-site role focuses on improving efficiency, throughput and reliability of production lines through data-driven improvements.

You will work with production teams, quality control and maintenance to implement changes and achieve tangible results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years in production engineering or manufacturing operations.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing experience with practical application.
• Familiarity with simulation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production lines to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Apply lean techniques such as Value Stream Mapping and 5S to optimize processes.
• Develop balanced production schedules and line configurations.
• Use simulation to test proposed changes to layouts and workflows.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to meet standards.
• Monitor KPIs for output, efficiency and waste reduction.
• Train staff on new processes and drive sustained improvements.
