Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Flow Specialist for our Centurion, Gauteng operation. The role focuses on mapping, analyzing and improving production workflows to boost throughput and reduce lead times, with hands-on on-site involvement in a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate will have a strong lean manufacturing background (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping), plus proficiency with Visio and Excel for data-driven decision making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment focused on process improvement and workflow analysis.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, including Kaizen, 5S and value stream mapping.
• Proficient in Visio and data analysis tools (Excel; statistical software).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; data-driven.
• Able to work in a hybrid on-site Centurion setting with cross-functional collaboration.
• CAD experience is a plus; knowledge of ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Map, analyze, and document current production processes and workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the production flow.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize material handling, workstation layout, and overall process efficiency.
• Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to monitor production performance and identify trends.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, engineers, and operators to gather insights and implement changes.
• Design and implement new production layouts and workflows as required.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations throughout the production process.
• Train and support production staff on new procedures and process improvements.
• Prepare reports on process performance, identified issues, and implemented solutions.
• Continuously research and recommend best practices in production flow and lean manufacturing.
