Job summary

Placements24 is actively seeking a Senior Industrial Process Engineer in Kimberley, Northern Cape to optimize production processes, drive efficiency, and uphold quality and safety in a fast-paced factory setting. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience, plus hands-on knowledge of lean/Six Sigma, process simulation (Arena/AnyLogic), and CAD tools.

You will mentor juniors and lead cross‑functional improvement projects to deliver measurable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, process optimization, or manufacturing engineering.
Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other CI frameworks.
Process simulation software (Arena, AnyLogic) and CAD software knowledge.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of SPC and quality management systems.
Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Conduct feasibility studies and develop process simulations to evaluate potential solutions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to ensure seamless process integration.
Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
Monitor process performance metrics and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal efficiency and output.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Manage process improvement projects from conception through to implementation and review.
