Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in process safety engineering within chemical or petrochemical industries.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements, risk assessment methodologies, and safety standards (OSHA, CCPS).
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and LOPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP, What-If, and FMEA studies.
• Develop and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) programs per industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and approve process design changes for safety implications before implementation.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for plant personnel.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety legislation and company standards.
