Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join the Benoni-based team. You will design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production demands while upholding quality and efficiency.

The role requires leading complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. A strong technical background and leadership capabilities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in process design, optimization and troubleshooting.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and process validation techniques.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and refinement of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Analyze process data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reduce waste.
• Design and implement process controls, equipment specifications and validation protocols.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and QA to ensure product introductions and scalability.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide junior process engineers to foster development.
