Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to optimize and innovate manufacturing processes at their Rustenburg facility. You will lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge solutions.

The role blends on-site presence with remote work to drive manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in process simulation, SPC, and automation systems, with 7+ years in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably heavy industry.
Experience with process simulation and SPC.
A track record of leading process improvement projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
Familiarity with automation and control systems in industry.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
Lead process optimization projects and address bottlenecks with data-driven methods.
Develop and maintain SOPs and ensure floor-wide adherence.
Mentor junior engineers and production staff on process topics.
Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with R&D, QA and operations on new product introductions and validation.
