Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Process Mechanical Engineer to join our Benoni operations. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing mechanical systems within manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and safety of machinery on-site.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in industrial mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and driving process improvements, contributing to seamless production and operational success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with process simulation software and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and implement mechanical equipment and systems for industrial processes.
• Analyze process performance, identify bottlenecks, and develop improvement solutions.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical plant equipment.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
