Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Development Engineer based in East London to drive innovation and efficiency in manufacturing. The role involves taking new chemical processes from the laboratory through pilot testing to full commercialization, defining process parameters, and ensuring smooth technology transfer.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in process development, scale-up, and technology transfer.
• Proven track record of commercializing new chemical processes.
• Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, separations, and process control.
• Experience with process simulation and modeling tools.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and scale-up of chemical processes from bench to commercial production.
• Design experiments to define operating envelopes and optimize parameters.
• Specify and select equipment for pilot and manufacturing scale.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing for tech transfer.
• Develop process descriptions, P&IDs, and operating procedures.
• Conduct process safety reviews and risk assessments.
