Job summary

Our client in Linbro Park is a Remuneration Manager with 10 years payroll management experience, including 3 years in a managerial role and 3 years in payroll system/interface roles. The position requires expertise with Payspace and a strong background in payroll across 1,000+ employees, with assessment tests for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• MUST have Payspace payroll system experience and Unique Time and Attendance system experience.
• Subject matter expert for payroll, payroll system, payroll taxes and complex payroll processing.
• Proven track record and experience in payroll implementation and interfaces to other applications - essential.
• Payroll programming (Huge advantage).
• Budget experience: Compilation and controlling of budgets essential.
• Tax submission experience.
• Accounting background experience.
• Very strong sound reconciliation experience. Ability to perform complex reconciliations and journals.
• Advanced MS Word and Excel skills.
• Payroll management, including management of capturing, reconciling, control processes.
• Input into policies and workflow processes (Medical Aid process, garnishee process, etcetera).
• Knowledge of legislation applicable to payroll.
• Report writing skills on Payspace essential.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant labour laws i.e. LRA, BCEA, COIDA, OSHA, POPI, INCOME TAX ACT, Wage Determination Act as well as Bargaining Council Agreements and Payroll best practices
