Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to coordinate large-scale payment onboarding and system integration initiatives, including Visa and Mastercard implementations across retail and corporate banking. You will drive end-to-end delivery and ensure alignment with time, scope, and budget constraints.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risk and governance, and mentor junior staff while applying strong analytical skills and industry standards

Qualifications

• 8–10 years significant experience in end-to-end management of large-scale strategic projects.
• 5+ years IT SDLC/BDLC delivery with 8+ years in project management roles.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders in local and international payments integration environments.
• Experience in a PfMO/PgMO/PMO overseeing multiple cross-functional projects with interdependencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of Visa and Mastercard-based implementations across core banking segments.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project delivery plans within scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
• Oversee risk, mitigation, issues, and change control throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure cohesive delivery.
