Job summary

FirstRand Bank India is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end initiatives within the FirstRand Group. You will plan, execute and govern projects, managing budgets, timelines and stakeholder expectations with a focus on payments/merchant acquiring platforms.

The role requires hands-on PowerCARD (HPS) experience, Agile or traditional PM skills, and strong communication to align diverse teams and deliver strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification - Project Management Diploma or CAPM/PRINCE 2 Management Systems, IT, STEM or equivalent
• Post Graduate Degree in Project Management
• 3+ years experience in Payments/Merchant Acquiring
• Hands-on exposure to PowerCARD (HPS) configuration, workflows, or integration
• Agile and/or traditional project management skills
• Basic accounting and financial management skills
• Knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of project tracking and enablement tools

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and objectives, with detailed plans and deliverables.
• Manage resources across the project lifecycle to deliver goals.
• Build cross-team relationships to improve delivery and collaboration.
• Apply change management practices and operationalise them.
• Develop personal expertise in industry and apply it to the role.
• Lead teams within defined processes and coach where needed.
• Plan resources in line with delivery objectives and budgets.
• Monitor turnaround times and quality, resolve issues to improve client service.
• Manage projects end-to-end in line with governance guidelines.
• Contribute to project budgets and report on resources.
• Maintain relationships for expectation management and reporting.
• Prepare project documentation to support delivery and audits.
• Define success criteria and share with involved parties.
• Apply knowledge to manage task execution on quality and time.
• Direct and optimise budgeted resources to meet objectives.
• Identify activities for ongoing professional development
