FirstRand Group in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior Project Manager to translate data into strategic insights and drive cross‑functional project delivery. You will lead planning, define scope, and manage resources to achieve on‑time, on‑budget outcomes.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, change management, and governance adherence, with a focus on delivering high-quality results across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Project Management Diploma or certification (CAPM/PRINCE2).
• Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Project Management.
• 5–7 years in a project environment, Payments/Merchant Acquiring experience is a plus.
• Hands-on with PowerCARD (HPS) configurations and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage project planning with defined scope, goals and deliverables.
• Manage resources (people, procurement, budgets) through lifecycle.
• Collaborate across teams to enhance delivery and innovation.
• Implement change management and ensure stakeholder adoption.
• Develop budgets, monitor spend, and report on resources.
• Maintain project documentation and governance compliance.
• Provide coaching and guidance to teams for delivery excellence.
