Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Digital Payments

Employment type: Contract

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

Responsible for management of moderate to highly complex programmes consisting of multiple related projects. Oversee major projects, providing strategic context, direction and leadership to the teams involved. Monitor project execution plans, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget, including managing components of resource management, finance management, quality management and control management.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Project management:

• The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality.

Change implementation, planning & management:

• Apply the highest standards in project and programme governance and management and apply this consistently in initiating, planning, executing, and closing of projects whilst applying Bank change methodologies to effectively manage the full lifecycle of the project.

Stakeholder relationship management:

• the coordination of relationships with and between key stakeholders, during the design, management and implementation of business change.
• Listen and support teams in problem identification and decision-making
• Create an environment of mutual influence.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 8 years' experience in implementing and working on complex projects in Digital banking and Banking Schemes Management.
• Professional accreditation in programme and or project management (Agile, prince2, PMBOK).
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (SAFe, Agile, Scrum).
• Previous project management experience gained in a complex financial service environment.
• Exposure to governance, control and risk management, including proven ability to effectively work across teams at all levels.
• The ability to negotiate influence at senior level.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred), including certification in Project Management.
• Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions or the FinTech industry.
• The ability to work in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation).

Preferred Skills:

• The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
