Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Curriculum Developer with online learning expertise to design, develop, and implement innovative digital courses for a global audience. This remote-first role is anchored in Vereeniging, Gauteng, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones.

You will apply ADDIE/SAM, lead content across subjects, work with SMEs, and use Articulate Storyline and LMS tools to deliver high-quality online learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Curriculum Development.
• 7+ years of curriculum development experience with online learning focus.
• Proven expertise in e-learning best practices and instructional design methodologies.
• Proficiency with Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Suite; LMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive online curriculum frameworks and course content across various subjects.
• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging e-learning experiences.
• Develop learning materials, including interactive modules, video scripts, assessments, and facilitator guides.
• Collaborate with SMEs, instructional designers, multimedia developers, and project managers to ensure content accuracy and quality.
• Utilize LMS and authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to build and deploy online courses.
• Conduct needs analyses to identify learning gaps and recommend online learning solutions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of courses through feedback, performance data, and analytics.
• Stay current with trends in online education, e-learning, instructional design.
• Manage multiple curriculum development projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of curriculum processes and standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for online pedagogy, remotely supporting colleagues worldwide.
