Job summary

Nedbank seeks a Senior Observability Specialist to architect the reliability of its digital estate across hybrid cloud and mainframe environments. You will illuminate systems, implement end-to-end observability, and drive SRE principles with automation-first thinking.

Collaborate with technology and business leaders to design scalable monitoring ecosystems using Dynatrace and ServiceNow, turning data into decisive actions and reducing noise across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of IT experience in enterprise IT environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with observability, SRE, and monitoring platforms.
• Deep expertise with Dynatrace, ServiceNow APM/Event Management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design & build end-to-end observability across apps, infra, and services.
• Set enterprise monitoring standards for logging, metrics, and events.
• Instrument services with logs, metrics, traces, telemetry, APM, RUM, and synthetic tests.
• Design synthetic user journeys for proactive detection and alerting.
• Build high-signal dashboards and alerts; ensure scalability and reliability across hybrid clouds.
• Champion SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and MTTR reduction.
