There is a hybrid work model with on-site Randburg office and remote options. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network security, hands-on experience with Cisco/Fortinet/Palo Alto, SIEM, and cloud security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Proven expertise configuring and managing network security devices (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM systems.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure).
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security infrastructure (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs).
• Monitor traffic for threats and respond to incidents promptly.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and hardening.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
• Participate in security awareness training for employees.
