You will oversee end-to-end claims, ensuring fair resolutions and excellent customer service while coordinating with policyholders, third parties and legal representatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in motor claims, strong negotiation skills, and solid knowledge of SA insurance legislation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience handling motor insurance claims, especially complex cases.
• In-depth knowledge of South African motor insurance legislation and claims best practices.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills with disputes resolution ability.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for high remote workloads.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and digital communication tools.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage a portfolio of complex motor insurance claims from first notification to settlement.
• Conduct thorough investigations into claims, verifying policy coverage and assessing liability.
• Appoint and manage third-party service providers, such as assessors and repairers.
• Communicate with policyholders, third parties, and legal representatives throughout the process.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and SLAs.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate suspicious claims for further investigation.
