Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with mining operations expertise to lead critical mining projects in the Kimberley region. You will manage project lifecycles, coordinate with mining engineers, operations, and external stakeholders to achieve objectives safely and efficiently.

The role requires deep knowledge of mining processes, safety regulations, and strong leadership to deliver capital projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive PM experience in mining or related fields.
• Experience managing large-scale capital mining projects.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, safety and environmental standards.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with PM tools and mining-specific software.
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Eng or related field; certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of mining operations projects.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets.
• Manage risks, safety compliance, and environmental considerations.
• Coordinate with geology, engineering, operations and external contractors.
• Monitor progress against timelines, quality, and budget.
• Present status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
