Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to drive operational improvement initiatives across mining operations. You will lead planning, execution, and delivery of projects focused on efficiency, safety, and productivity, coordinating with mine managers, engineers, and contractors on-site in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in project management, with ≥5 years in senior roles within mining or heavy industry.
Bachelor's degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification highly desirable.
Proven track record delivering operational efficiency and safety improvements in mining.
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of operational improvement projects in mining environments.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with strategic business goals.
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks effectively.
Oversee projects related to equipment upgrades, process optimization, safety enhancements, and technology integration.
Coordinate with mine managers, engineers, operational staff, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders.
