Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to drive operational improvement initiatives across mining operations. About the Role

Our client, a major player in the mining sector in the Kimberley region, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to drive operational improvement initiatives. This role is crucial for enhancing efficiency, safety, and productivity across various mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management within the mining or heavy industry sectors, with a proven track record of successfully implementing complex improvement projects. This on-site role requires strong leadership, technical understanding of mining processes, and the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders in challenging environments within the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of operational improvement projects in mining environments.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role within the mining, heavy industry, or related sectors.
• A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience managing projects focused on operational efficiency, safety improvements, or technology implementation in mining.
• Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment, and associated risks.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Ability to work effectively on-site in demanding conditions within Kimberley and surrounding mining areas.
• Must be able to commit to full-time, on-site work in Kimberley , Northern Cape .
