Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mine Surveyor for Mahikeng, North West. You will oversee surface and underground surveys, perform volumetric calculations, and maintain survey data critical for mine planning. The role blends fieldwork with office data processing in a hybrid setup.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of mining survey experience, registrations with SAGC or ECSA, and proficiency in Surpac, Vulcan, Deswik, and CAD tools. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mine Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
• Professional registration as Mine Surveyor with SAGC or ECSA is essential.
• Minimum 8 years' mining surveying experience, underground and/or open-pit.
• Proficiency with Surpac, Vulcan, Deswik, and CAD software.
• Experience with modern surveying instruments and cadastral surveying.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surface and underground mine surveys including cadastral and boundary surveys.
• Perform volumetric calculations for ore reserves, waste dumps and stockpiles.
• Maintain survey control networks and databases.
• Prepare and update mine plans and sections per regulatory standards.
• Train and supervise junior surveyors and technicians.
• Collaborate with planners, geologists and engineers to ensure data integrity.
