Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Professional registration with PLATO or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, with a focus on surface mining.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical surveys, boundary surveys, and volumetric calculations.
• Set out designs for mine infrastructure, including roads, stockpiles, and blast patterns.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and laser scanners.
• Process and interpret survey data using software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Surpac, Leica Infinity).
• Ensure survey data is accurate, reliable, and timely for mine planning and reporting.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and production personnel to ensure operational alignment.
