Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, with underground mining exposure.
• Proficiency with modern surveying instruments.
• Experience with mine surveying software (AutoCAD, Surpac, Minex).
• Knowledge of SA mining survey regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surface and underground surveys using Total Stations, GPS, laser scanners, and other equipment.
• Prepare mine plans, cross-sections, and volumetric calculations from survey data.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks for mining operations.
• Monitor excavation progress, development advances, and stockpile quantities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory survey requirements and regulations.
• Collaborate with mine planning engineers, geologists, and production managers.
• Process survey data using specialized software (AutoCAD, Surpac, Minex).
• Perform reconciliations between planned and actual mine development and extraction.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment.
