Job summary

Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a meticulous Mechanical Quality Engineer to uphold and improve the quality of mechanical products across their lifecycle. The role focuses on implementing QC systems, inspections, data analysis, and CAPA to meet stringent standards.

You will work with design and production teams to resolve issues, drive reliability, and ensure customer satisfaction in the Gauteng region. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in quality engineering within mechanical manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in mechanical manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality tools such as SPC and FMEA.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for mechanical components and assemblies.
Conduct quality inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability.
Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
