Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer with a focus on Quality Systems to join our Stellenbosch team in a hybrid arrangement. The role focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining quality management systems to ensure product and process reliability.

You will analyze quality data, drive CAPA initiatives, conduct audits, and collaborate with production and engineering to embed quality into design and manufacturing. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and control.
• Knowledge of quality management methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, SPC).
• Experience with data analysis and statistical software for quality reporting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
• Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct process audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate quality considerations into new product and process designs.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs to employees at various levels.
• Monitor KPIs and report on trends and improvement initiatives.
