Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer with specialization in quality systems for its Nelspruit operations. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust QMS to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance across production, R&D, and QA teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in industrial engineering with 3+ years in quality systems, strong ISO knowledge, and proven leadership to drive cross-functional quality initiatives in Mpumalanga region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years focused on quality systems and management.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience with SPC, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001.
• Lead root cause analysis for quality defects and implement CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Design and conduct quality audits, internal and external, to ensure compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and implement SPC programs to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to integrate quality into new product development and process design.
• Train personnel on quality procedures, standards, and best practices to foster a quality-focused culture.
