Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team in Midrand. You will design, develop, and test mechanical systems across diverse projects, guiding products from concept to production while meeting performance, safety, and quality standards.

You will lead CAD-driven design work, perform structural and thermal analyses, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and project management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and FEA tools.
• Strong knowledge of materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems using CAD software.
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analyses to validate designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including blueprints and schematics.
• Oversee prototyping and testing phases, resolving design issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
