Placements24 in South Africa is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes at their Nelspruit facility. You will drive efficiency, implement new technologies, and partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to raise output and product quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, 6+ years in manufacturing engineering, and strong Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with proven process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of machining, casting, injection molding, and assembly automation.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in SPC and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Develop and implement new procedures, tooling, and equipment for product introductions and scaling.
• Lead process validation and ensure compliance with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols at the Nelspruit facility.
